Silestone is an engineered quartz-based surface, manufactured through a highly advanced process. Silestone has some unique characteristics such as strength, hardness and flexibility that make it more suitable than any other natural stone for a wide range of domestic, commercial and industrial applications. Silestone is a practical, durable and beautiful piece of stone that denotes a sense of royalty and a sense of pure luxury.

With Silestone you have the full advantage of having chosen a stone that is highly practical with built-in Microban antibacterial protection helps products to fight the growth of micro-organisms such as mould and harmful bacteria such as E.Coli, Salmonella, Listeria, and Staphlococcus.

Silestone is highly heat resistant and extremely chip, crack and scratch resistant. Another advantage about Silestone is that it is very easy to work with, thus allowing us to give you the best results to meet your expectations. Silestone unlike granite is uniform in nature because it is an engineered piece of stone. Engineered stone is the most durable surface material, combining the hardness and durability of quartz with the exceptional low maintenance qualities of man-made materials (resin). Only engineered stone always displays a “consistent variability” or mottling in colour and texture throughout a quartz countertop. Each slab looks the same, which helps minimize the visible seams that are often found in granite countertop installations. The quartz content in Silestone is 94 per cent whereas the resin content is only 6 percent.

Silestone is impervious to stains and will withstand any exposure to soda, wine, vinegar, lemon juice, and tea and is completely resistant to freezing and thawing. Its non-porous nature is also extremely hygienic, making it a food-safe choice. Just wipe away and the surface is like new again. But, please note that no surface is indestructible. Strong chemicals like oven cleaners and floor strippers will definitely leave a scar on a beautiful surface.

The engineered stone, because of the high amount of quartz in them, cannot handle heat for very long. It isn’t a bad conductor of heat like granite. So, use a hot pad or trivet when placing a hot pan on it.
